Precision Castings

Applied Materials Science is the innovative leader in investment casting of advanced alloys and metal matrix composites.  We produce components for applications such as motion control, precision manufacturing, and optics,  in which materials with high specific stiffness or high specific strength provide differentiating performance.  Our ability to produce net-shape components with tight tolerances consistently translates directly into costs savings and performance advantages to our customers. 

Our expertise in high-performance aluminum alloys (including A201, Al-Li, and Al-Sc), copper alloys, and aluminum-based metal matrix composites (including Al/SiC, Al/BC, Al/C and Al-Si) make us the producer of choice for these materials.  Our experience with these materials enables us to participate in concurrent engineering with our customers, thereby accelerating the introduction of new products into the marketplace.

Wrought Products

Applied Materials Science offers a variety of wrought alloy products, including rolled and extruded advanced aluminum alloys.
